THE FIVE SPIRITS OF DISCOURAGEMENT

THE FIVE SPIRITS OF DISCOURAGEMENT
By Mubita C. Nawa

Good day leaders and blessings. I am writing to you from Mufulira Zambia where we have just had a very powerful meeting. It was a motivational talk dabbed "How to have an Explosive 2013". We thank God for the people who traveled from Petauke, Ndola, Livingstone, Kalulushi and Mufulira.

Today I desire to write about these five spirits that are destroying homes, lives, businesses and great careers. I promise you one thing, you may not have encountered all of them, but at least one of them has crossed your path.

On December 7th, 2000, a 143 minute movie was released staring Tom Hanks and Helen Hunt. This movies, Cast Away, was produced for US$90million. But by the end of its debut and box office showing, it grossed USD$429million. My question is why did so many people (including myself) go watch a one man movie about a man who was alone for four years on an island? It's because we all identified with the feelings of despair and discouragement that life brings our way.

So here are the five spirits and some tips on how to overcome them.

1- THE SPIRIT OF FRUSTRATION
Human beings are designed to operate in an environment of hope, pleasure and inspiration. Just like fish work well in a hydrated and oxidized set-up, we also need motivation and inspiration. So when we find our selves annoyed and feeling hopeless, we become frustrated.

The spirit of frustration has caused great strikers to miss their goals. It has brought down promising marriages and businesses. It has stopped business partnerships from taking off because someone along the way got frustrated. You must fight this spirit because it will lead you to bypass protocol, overlook risk and it will embarrass you in the end. How do you fight this spirit? You don't. You can't fight a devil. What you do is you embrace an angel and the devil will go away. The angel in this case is constantly staying motivated and focussed around what works and what is working rather than what does not work and may never even work.

2- THE SPIRIT OF MISUNDERSTANDING
The late Steven Covey in his world acclaimed book The 7 Habits of HIghly Effective People says the fifth habit is to seek to understand then to be understood. We are usually selfish in that we feel being understood is better. The danger with misunderstanding is that it causes people to grow apart when they should not. It separates friends and turns them into foes. Even the best of friends on an angelic or Devine level ran into a misunderstanding. And what did we end up with? Lucifer.

Ensure that there is no misunderstandings in your sphere of influence by always being clear. Always demand that people state their mission in your life before they join the 'party'. Like wise be clear about your mission and state it as well because expectations can rise and fall without your consent. This will ensure that even if latter on there are misunderstandings you can refer to the agreed terms of reference.

3- THE SPIRIT OF POVERTY
Recently I purchased a new shirt for myself as a reward for a job well done. The exact date was Saturday January 12th when I got that shirt. I wanted to wear it immediately. Then the spirit of poverty whispered to me that the best time to wear my new clothing would be around Christmas. "I said which Christmas?" "2013 Christmas." Said the spirit of poverty. I decided to wear that shirt the next day. Why must I have nice things in my life yet struggle with the ugly things? I don't have 353 days to wait on a shirt. That is poverty people.

Some of you are directors but you live like clerks. Some of you are clerks yet the standards of living, thinking and believing are riddled with poverty mentality bullet holes.

Africa is the worlds richest continent and also the worlds poorest continent with most of its citizens living on less than a dollar a day. It's not for the lack of resources but certainly for the abundance of a spirit of poverty.

4- LONELINESS
This spirit is a crucial one. It attacks those who are successful. When you become a leader, friends are fewer. The main reason is that you now have to make choices and decisions that affect friends as well. But most of all, success has more enemies than failure. Some of the most lonely people are successful people. Money can buy hangers-on's but it will never buy true friendship.

In the movie cast away, Tom Hanks who acts as Chuck Noland ends up making a volleyball (Wilson) his friend. You can laugh but that is what loneliness does to us. It makes us talk to strangers, look for love in all the wrong places and from the wrong people.

The greatest antidote to loneliness is building up ones self esteem. Standing tall and firm on a purified personal belief that you are good enough and better than yesterday. You can no longer wait on people to celebrate you. That is a proven formula for disaster.

5- THE SPIRIT OF SUICIDE
According to visual academy, one million people take their own lives worldwide. That is one in every forty people. While the majority of the readers of this letter will never and have probably never thought about taking their lives, the spirit of suicide is just what it says: a spirit. It appears first by telling you that you are not worth it and that you should leave this earth and disappear. This spirit tells you you are in the wrong place at the wrong time and for the wrong reasons. How can anyone be that wrong?

So one of the ways to fight this spirit is by ensuring that you have no regret in your life. No one has the right to wish they could change the past because the past is simply what it is; the past. What we can do with the past is accept our mistake and walk away with our lessons. You are alive for a reason. The fact that you are still here means you still have work to do and no one must eliminate you not even yourself.

CONCLUSION
There are all kinds of spirits, attitudes, dispositions, dogmas, myths, conundrums, and all kinds of cobwebs that can entangle us. In the past thirteen years that I have been speaking and counseling, the five listed above are in the super league. I pray for you and your family and your business that you may unravel your mind, your spirit and your body from such. Be free in Christ's name and accept a better destiny. I will leave you with one of my very favorite scriptures.

2nd CORINTHIANS 4:7-12
7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.
8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair;
9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;
10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.
11 For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
12 So death is at work in us, but life in you.

AN EXPLOSIVE 2013 LIVE WITH MUBITA C. NAWA

AN EXPLOSIVE 2013 LIVE WITH MUBITA C. NAWA

Dear friends,

I pray that God is blessing you and your family. As for me, I am so excited about the things God is doing in my life, my families life and in my businesses.

Tomorrow Saturday January 26th, 2013 I will be speaking at Broadway Cinema in Ndola. The time is 09:30hours. Often people ask me to send them mail, inspirations and so on. We try our best to do that. But sometimes you must get up, go into the kitchen and get what you feel like eating.

This motivation is for 'hungry' people. Those who desire to have a fantastic 2013. My coordinator for this meeting is John Musadala. John is a great young man who invited me to Mufulira on December 16th, 2012. When you come to our meetings, not only do you get blessed but you meet great people who can inspire your life.

This meeting will repeat in Mufulira the following day on Sunday 27th January 2013 at Kali's Mess. We believe the Copperbelt is on the up and up. But you will need proper tools to ensure you rise with what God is doing. The Mufulira meeting is at 15:00hrs. I promise you God wants you to make it to these meetings.

Just some background information on John Musadala. I met John at a meeting I held in Livingstone three weeks prior to his hosting me in Mufulira. He travelled overnight just to come hear me speak. And boy was he in for it. Nor sooner than we concluded the meeting than he left for Mufulira. Today John is busy turning his potential into cash by helping people access motivation and inspiration for their lives, families and business.

Like John, I need to meet you at one of our meetings. We are good at what we do and that is testament by the number of lives we continue to change.

Please call John today on 0967672498 so that he can reserve your seats for tomorrow and Sunday. On Monday I am so excited that I will be speaking at a school in Mufulira. One of the things I thank God for in our business is that we speak to military commanders, members of parliament, street kids, students, mothers, street workers, and all kinds of people. That is what makes us so special and unique.

What ever you do do not miss Ndola and Mufulira. If John could travel from Mufulira to Livingstone, what can stop you?

DON'T WASTE YOUR GIFT IN 2013

DON'T WASTE YOUR GIFT IN 2013
By Mubita C. Nawa

Good day great leader. We are seven days into the new year. Perfect time to talk about the two businesses that you can run in this great year. With all my heart I believe this will be a fantastic year. I say so not because it's the right thing to say. Rather I say so because it is the right time and season. Seasons should dictate behavior. Faith must influence actions and provisions must never hinder ones vision.

There are two businesses you must own; one must be a system based or product based business. The other a talent or gift driven business. A system business is linked to other businesseses that benefit from the effort, creativity and intuition of value chains that add or diminish value along the way.

A talent or gift based business is more of an original business concept that dictates its own predicates. It's the value we add, enhance, and rekindle as we brighten the lives and joy in others.

Walmart is a system based business though Sam Walton was a gifted sales man. Coca-Cola is a system business as is Nike, Mercedes and others. Oprah is a gift business though Harpo (Oprah's company) is a system business.

My prayer for 2013 is that you can truly take that gift in you and turn it into a business. You need both the business you can take with you to the grace and a business that will still be there for your grandchildren to inherit. You are way too gifted, way too talented to be struggling. As a matter of fact, you are too old to wonder what your business will be in 2013.

So here are a few tips to help you turn your talent and gift into a system.

1. Add Value to your gift. It's okey to sing in the shower but in case you have not noticed it only sounds good to the one showering. A professional studio would be the combine harvester of that talent. A producer the seller and a marketer the conveyor belt to markets.

2. Break all limitations. How many times will you listen to people who say it can never be done? 2013 is not the year to have a data base of discouragement associations. This is the year to be encouraged. Take it to the max and at the very least try. But don't just try. Do it and do it well so that even if you fail fail successfully.

3. Finance your own dream. People may like you but they honestly consider you a great risk and great threat to their income and resources. So in case you did not read the memorandum, no one will finance your dream like you can. Unless you are willing to be vested in your dream no one will. Every book, every CD, every DVD I have ever published I financed it myself. Where I received help, it came after my own wheels where turning. Turn your own wheels like they were hot wheels for they truly are.

4. Run a sustainable business. At the end of the day we are in business to make money, employ people and to change the landscape of our communities. If its not sustainable then you probably need to be doing something else.

5. Spread the risk. Invest in more than one thing. Personally I recommend not more than three businesses otherwise the stress is too much.

6. Be Original. Why have a talent that is copied. Be yourself. A friend of mine Penjani Nguni invited me to her concert on Christmas Eve. I have known Penjani since she was in nineth grade. At her concert she sung all her songs live. It was an amazing show that was so unique. Everywhere you find Penjani Nguni she will sing live music. Is that original or what? Be an originator not a recipient of other peoples ideas.

CONCLUSION: this is truly your year. Arise and shine and be counted. Be a negotiator, a pioneer, an enterprenure and a provider for your family and children. May God bless you and remember to run these two businesses; system based and talent based businesses.

REDESIGN YOUR LIFE IN 2013

REDESIGN YOUR LIFE IN 2013
By Mubita C. Nawa

Great day leader. Merry Christmas and seasons greetings. As we close this year, I thought I should drop a line to exalt you and the dreams in your heart. Here are five quick steps to a redesigned life in 2013.

Step 1: MOVE THE GATE
There is a business premises in Lusaka where they rebuild the wall fence every two weeks or so. Today I left them rebuilding a fence they built about three weeks ago. The owner has trucks that go in and out. Obviously trucks being trucks, the angles can be tight. Rather than build the fence, why not move the gate or better still move the entire premises to a more suitable place. In 2013, you must not waste your time rebuilding things that keep on falling for whatever reason. Rather design your life for success and permanence.

Step 2: BE UNIQUE
There are too many people who are ready to be second best and to follow the direction of the wind. In 2013 be different. It's OK to be you especially if you is unique. Set new trends for others to follow.

Step 3: KNOW YOUR BRAND
Last night I took time to see pictures of a friend of mine on their website page. They have over 30 pictures and each picture is different. That is similar to looking at 30 Mercedes Benz cars of the same class yet they all look different. Look for a wardrobe that suites you. Some people wear clothes that are too small or too big. Look for excellence in what you do. Dress smart all the time even when in PJ's. Your brand must be classy and consistent in 2013.

Step 4: REINVEST
Often we blow all our income. We forget that a great business or life involves re investing some of the resources we have. Live 2013 well but do not be miserable. Save some for a rainy day and invest others for a dry day.

Step 5: BE COURAGEOUS
2013 will demand some decisions unprecedented in your life. You will need to stand up tall and be counted. You can not do much with timidity. Don't risk it all but risk a lot of it. The higher the risk often the greater the reward.

CONCLUSION
I wish you great success over these holidays. This is the last newsletter for 2012. I have enjoyed being your coach. Will communicate again 2013.

Kindly email this to a friend or read it to them. I wish you blessings and our website www.mubitacnawa.com will remain open for inspiration. Talk to you in 2013 God willing.

How to Let Go of Average?

How to Let Go of Average?
By Mubita C. Nawa

Are You Happy with Your Space? Are you sure you are where you want to be? Is God happy with your choices? Are you happy with your choices?

Three scriptures have encouraged me this week. The first is Luke 18:1-5 which is a parable of a persistent widow. Though this scripture speaks of a mean judge who was troubled by a never giving up widow, the lesson is about never giving up on what matters in life to you. Have you given up on your greatest desire? My greatest desire is to reach more people through motivation and leadership talks and materials. I desire to liberate people to be happy and to be financially free by becoming their own bosses.

The second scripture is about the five, two and one talents that where given to three people in Mathew 25:15. Scripture does not tell us the educational levels or the psychological pressures of these three men. It simply says one person never did anything with their talent. What are you doing with your talent. How much longer will you wait for other people to start what you should have started? You are Gods answer to someone right now. You are an employer first. Always remember that.

The last scripture I thought about is Exodus 17:8-12 where the nation of Israel goes to fight Amalek in the Rephidim valley. Moses hands are weary and tied save for the help of Aaron and Hur, Israel would have lost the battle had it not been for special help. What am I saying? You are now too mature and too advanced to be doing everything by yourself. You need help. Some things you are doing need helpers.

CONCLUSION
say goodbye to average lifestyle, average salaries, average homes, average is the worst enemy to excellence. Say goodbye by establishing a life of quality persistence, by digging out your barrier talent, and by identifying the right people to hold your hands in battle.

THANK YOU NOTE

THE TEN BASIC RULES TO HAPPINESS

THE TEN BASIC RULES TO HAPPINESS
BY MUBITA C. NAWA

Good day my great leaders. Today I ran into a woman at the bank. She was so depressed because she works with a very mean boss. I decided to share something with her that changed my life yesterday.

I told her yesterday I (Mubita C. Nawa) was so frustrated with companies in Zambia. I told her they owe me so much money but because of corruption and just poor work culture they are not paying. But today I decided to be happy. She asked me why? I shared with her my ten basic rules of happiness.

1- Decide to change yourself not the situation. You can not change many things out there. But you can at least change you. I still did not get my money as of today but I got my joy back.
2- Remember who is important. You are the most important person in the world. Without you there will be no world. So don't die before you fulfill your purpose.
3- It's not you it's them. Often we personify troubles and blame ourselves. It's the other people who are corrupt and want to destroy you. As long as you are doing what is right before God that is what matters.
4- Go shopping. As much as I needed money from those companies, I still managed to go shopping for my wife and my children. I only spent $20.00 but it brought me so much joy. Those companies owe me over $4,000.00 but that should never stop me from showing love to the people I love.
5- Go to your happy place. Where do you derive your happiness, then go there and get it. If its movies go see a movie. If its church then go and pray.
6- Value yourself. How did we end up being owed so much? Why did we not protect ourselves better? So from now on we will never move a finger until our conditions are met. Never undervalue yourself by being desperate.
7- Dress to kill. I told the lady at the bank to dress even better. Depression does not do well around smartly dressed people. When you look good you generally feel good and think better.
8- Let go. Why die before your time? Why worry about things you cannot change? Let go and let God. God has a plan in your chaos and in your mess. There is something good that will come out of all this I promise.
9- See a fresh start rather than a gloomy end. When ever one road comes to an end, there is a great possibility that a new road awaits. So turn and see greatness ahead of you.
10- Don't change who you are. The world is busy trying to change good people into bad ones. They are busy trying to break your back till you succumb. Don't! Stand strong against corruption. Stand strong against injustice and stand against giving up.

CONCLUSION: Make a choice to be happy and see yourself at the top where God wants you to be. God bless you. Be sure to send this to a friend or two. Www.mubitacnawa.com

The Root of Jealous

The Root of Jealous
by Mubita C. Nawa

Today I will briefly talk about the five I's of Jealous. Some may interpret them as 'eyes' for they represent the point of conjunction in that it is there were jealous meets action. They may also represent the conception of jealous for it is there were an ill idea is fertilized with the venom of greed.

Let me state from the onset that there is no such thing as a bad person. There are only jealous people. None of us must ever walk around thinking they are exempt from this Amoebic envelop that has destroyed many. We must all confront this hindrance with little mercy. Here are the five I's:

Intimidation: intimidation is the fear caused by the success of others. Whenever you allow other people's success to sway you, you slack your inherent God given position. Intimidation happens all the time at all levels. Never allow anyone to push you around. You have the right to be here as much as they do.

Insecurity: in intimidation, it's the success of others that threatens you. In insecurity, it's your own failures; blemishes, crocked paths and poor sight that make you feel unworthy. Here is the solution, know that everyone has issues. Everyone has something that is not nearly there. We all have skeletons in our closet

Inactivity: This is a subtle root, imagine you own a shop and your neighbour keeps selling while your products languish. This can be the start of jealous. It is better to learn from your neighbours' success rather than to waste energy trying to frustrate them.

Insincerity: How can a normal human being mislead another? Only those who desire to sabotage your future. Look out for this sign; silence can sometimes be the most insincere form of flatter. Truth must liberate you and the recipients of your knowledge. Truth transcends all challenges be they pathological, ideological, economical, spiritual or other.

Inconsistency: The best way to silence jealous people is to be consistent. You must do your best at all times and keep producing that which you do best. Eventually even the most sewer-oriented-mouths get sanitized.

Conclusion: jealous is a broad subject and it manifests itself in many forms. Therefore, identify what may lead you to jealous and quail it from the root. Some roots must be uprooted more often than others. Liberate yourself from this root and help others too.
